Side-Lined

Some times we can feel side-lined. You know what I mean? Like we are totally, definitely, 100% at the game, even picked for the team, but have been seated on the bench... to wait. And here we are, waiting. Watching all the action, but feeling like we are never going to get in on the action.

Can you relate?

Maybe you feel that way with your purpose and calling. When will you get your chance to get in the game and really live and function in your sweet spot? As much as you LOVE doing what you are doing now, be it supporting your family, raising kids, or being a rockstar grandma, when will you get called in?

Maybe you are in a job now that you know is not your calling? You may even be great at it, but it isn't "it." When will that mystical door open that leads to all the right opportunities to live out the calling you know you were created to fulfill?

Maybe it just feels like NOTHING is happening for you. People around you are rejoicing over life events, blessings, promises fulfilled, new jobs, better opportunities, but why isn't any of that happening for you?

Well friends I am not offering answers to any of those questions, or the hundreds more I am sure we could all come up with, but I am offering a word of TRUTH. And it is a truth we can all hold on to and know even if we feel like nothing is happening in our lives, to advance our careers, to open doors to fulfill our life's calling, that doesn't mean nothing is happening.

God's working in someone else's life does not prevent or limit Him from working in YOUR life.

Here's some wonderful news, God isn't too busy busting down walls and opening doors for everyone else that He hasn't gotten around to you. You may not hear the sledge hammer being thrown, but He is at work. He's at work in your friends lives, He's at work in your family's lives, He's at work in your life. That is part of the beauty of serving an omnipotent, omnipresent God! He is all powerful and all present.

Don't let the enemy convince you that He isn't working in your life. I promise you He is. And the work He is doing in someone else's life will never and can never infringe upon the mastery He is doing in you.

I love the bridge to the song "Way Maker." Listen to this song friend. Sing it over your life, not because God needs to be reminded, but we need to be reminded:

Even when I don't see it You're working
Even when I don't feel it You're working
You never stop, You never stop working
You never stop, You never stop working
